Nature of the service

Sunlit Roots offers a mentoring and coaching service for Italians living abroad, operated by Sara Cerrone (ABN 79 818 831 772, Brisbane, Australia). Sara holds a psychology qualification from Italy; however, the service provided in Australia is not psychotherapy and does not fall under the jurisdiction of the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). If you have clinical or emergency mental health needs, please contact a registered health professional in Australia.

Booking and confirmation

Sessions are considered confirmed upon receipt of a booking confirmation. Please check that the details (date, time, format) are correct and contact us immediately if anything needs to be amended.

Punctuality and late arrivals

Sessions begin and end at the agreed time. If a client arrives late, the session still ends at the originally scheduled time. Time lost due to late arrival does not entitle the client to a refund or a make-up session.

Cancellations and rescheduling

To cancel or reschedule a session, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start time. Requests received after this deadline do not qualify for a refund or a replacement session.

In the event of a no-show — where the client does not attend and provides no prior notice — the session is considered to have taken place and no refund will be issued.

Refunds for exceptional circumstances

A refund may be considered, at Sara Cerrone's sole discretion, only in the case of genuine exceptional circumstances supported by appropriate documentation (e.g. accident, hospitalisation, sudden bereavement). Documentation must be provided within 48 hours of the missed session. Sunlit Roots reserves the right to request additional evidence before making a decision.

Conduct and mutual respect

All sessions are conducted in an environment of mutual respect. Sunlit Roots reserves the right to end a session early or decline to continue the working relationship if a client's behaviour is disrespectful or inappropriate.

Limitation of liability

Mentoring and coaching do not replace clinical psychological, medical, or legal support. Outcomes depend on the individual client's commitment and circumstances. Sunlit Roots makes no guarantee of specific results.

These terms may be updated periodically. The version published on this page, with the revision date shown at the top, is the version in effect.
